Celebration of Peace 2008
ThinkGlobal Arts participated in the 9th Annual “Around the Corner, Around the World” Celebration of Naperville’s Cultural Diversity International Festival on February 10, 2008. Interest in the message of peace was high. People visited the booth several times to learn more about the Celebration of Peace 2007 event, and also were very keen on being much better informed about any such event we may plan in 2008. Also presented were facets of the great diverse culture of India from its music, arts, crafts, and the more recent heightened presence of India’s contributions to global technology and corporations.

The Indian sari & the Bindi decoration on the forehead attracted many to the booth. Many people that day proudly sported the Bindi on their foreheads, a symbol of peace and auspiciousness, while others tried on the sari with grace and charm. Children and adults also waited patiently in long lines for a Mehndi decoration on their palms!
