Keynote Speaker – Emily Driscoll
Wednesday, October 7, 2026 10am-12pm
Community Event – October 7, 6:30pm
Join us for an unforgettable day with Emmy Award-winning science video producer Emily Driscoll, whose passion for scientific innovation has inspired audiences around the world!
More than 1,250 high school students will gather for Emily’s keynote presentation, where she will use amazing visuals from her 60-Second Science videos to bring scientific concepts to life. Through engaging storytelling and real-world examples, students will discover how science fuels curiosity, drives innovation, and helps build a more peaceful and connected world.
A 20-minute interactive Q&A session will further allow students to clarify complex concepts, challenge arguments, and connect the speaker’s overarching message to their own lives!
Drawing inspiration from the work of Emily Driscoll, a city-wide video contest is planned for junior and high school students. Titled ‘Science in a Snap’, the contest encourages students to explore science and find ways to make the world a better place. Contest winners will be recognized and awarded at a Press Conference in the evening of October 7, location TBD.
